Mr. Lombardo was doing a clinic last night at Sam Ash. It was a short notice thing but my friend Nic informed me about it last week.
Again, this was a GREAT experience seeing the monster performing right in front of you.
Dave HATES sports but LOVES music and that’s what’s keeping him in condition….I was pretty surprised hearing that LOL!
He just switched over from Tama to Ludwig Drums recently. This time he wanted to pick the drums of HIS heroes like John Bonham, Ginger Baker. He’s very happy with the new custom babies.

Let’s go see the BIG 4 at Yankees Stadium tonight!

First and foremost I’d like to thank Ken @ Piercingmetal.com for the invitation to this event. I’ve been pretty busy in the studio these days but when Ken messaged me I was shocked that I almost forgot about it….quickly had to find someone to spot me for the the rest of the day and I was on my way to the show!

This was one of those rare moments when you had a chance seeing these legend fighting on stage with their drums.
Carmine influenced a lot of drummers with his unique technique and style who performed, co-wrote music with Paul Stanley, Rod Stewart and Ted Nugent just to name a couple. On the other side of course his brother from the “same” mother, Vinnie, has played in the biggest rock acts of the era; Black Sabbath, Heaven and Hell, Dio! Awesome dudes and awesome performance!

The show was pretty amazing besides the drum solos they had a full band on stage playing the classics. Let me tell you man, all those guys including Jason, James, Chris, Artie played the songs fantastic, no joke! Tight, kick ass act!

It was my pleasure meeting them, this time together. At Backstage we chatted about drumming, DIO and just life in general.

I was also happened to run into Mr. Billy Amendola from Modern Drummer Magazine who was kind enough to listen to my latest release with VERISMO!
More about that later!
